London trip 9/03/17

Good evening!

I went to London a week ago with my university course to visit one marketing agency and to an advertising exhibition. The marketing agency is called MullenLowe and I've been so surprised in a positive way. The last few weeks I was thinking that I wasn't too sure if I chose the right path for my future, but this company assured me that I did. It looked so good and inspiring and everyone looked so happy to be working there, everything was cheerful and full of creativity. The people who spoke to us showed us their work and their experiences with the company and I found out that there are so many roles in marketing, that I didn't even know about. Overall I was so inspired and motivated when I walked out of their door.

Then we went to an advertising exhibiton, it was celebrating 100 years of British advertising. There were some interesting bits, but I didn't like it that much, it seemed really chaotic and unorganized. However we were able to try and see some cool stuff like virtual reality with Google or what it would be like to be on TV News. Here are some pictures that I took.

After the exhibition we decided to go sightseeing. I've been to London twice before this visit and I never really liked it like everyone else. This afternoon changed my mind completely. The weather was beautiful and my friend decided to rent the bikes and that was the best idea ever! We planned to walk through all the tourist places, but that would've taken us forever. With the bike we had saved so much time and it made me realize how much I miss my bike and going every Sunday to visit my grandma haha.

What would a trip be without a stop to Starbucks right? Plus I liked the background.

After getting some caffeine into our systems, we had a meeting with one other friend. We were almost there and we got stopped by police. We were too scared to drive on the road so we were on the pavement. We knew it was wrong and people were shouting at us, but we just didn't care..They told us that we need to go on the road or we have to pay 50 pounds each. We explained that we were too scared and we're tourists and blablabla. We didn't pay eventually! Haha.

The last stop was a student pub, of course.

Then the fun part begins. We were kind of far away from the Victoria Coach Station where we needed to get. We took the bikes again, but we got lost and the time was running out. I even fell of the bike, I wasn't hurt but I was in shock. We had maybe 15 minutes left and freaking out so we took the bikes to the nearest station and literally ran to a taxi to take us to the bus station. We made it! Rewarded ourselves with oreo cake and got home at 3 in the morning.
Nevertheless I absolutely enjoyed this trip and I fell in love with London, my favourite part is the Tower Bridge, I could sit there all day long just looking at it (if it was sunny of course haha).

If you're planning to go to London and you have limited time, definetely rent the bikes, it's so worth it! Congratulations if you've reached this point of this article and I'll be back here soon!
